A 54-year-old man died after being shot in the head on Detroit's west side early Sunday morning. It was 12:45 a.m., on the 1500 block of Clairmount when the man was found shot. That's a block-and-a-half east of Clairmount and Rosa Parks (formerly 12th Street), the location of the 1967 Detroit riot.

Authorities say a disgruntled Ford employee shot and killed himself at the company’s stamping plant in Woodhaven. It happened Friday morning at the facility along West Road near I-75. Officials say the worker brought a gun inside an office portion of the plant and then fatally shot himself when confronted by police.
Police are responding to the report of shots fired at Ford's Woodhaven Stamping Plant. Initially, it was reported to be an active situation. Police confirmed shots were fired inside the plant. Woodhaven police said their officers are responding. Michigan State Police also have sent several units to the plant.

It was about 6 a.m. Tuesday when police responded to a 911 call of shots fired at the Soul Devil's Motorcycle Club on the 13400 block of Plymouth Road, said Sgt. Nicole Kirkwood, head of the media office for Detroit Police Department.

Michigan State Police say injuries are reported after an ambulance collided with another vehicle and went off a bridge over a creek. State police spokesman Lt. David Kaiser tells The Associated Press that he was heading to the scene of Monday morning’s crash in Saginaw County. He said he didn’t have details about the extent of injuries, but expected to have an update later Monday morning.
Detroit: A suspected drunk driver is in custody after slamming into the back of a Detroit Police patrol car as the officer was conducting a traffic stop. It happened around 2:45 a.m. Friday along Joy Road just east of the Southfield Freeway, on the city’s west side.
Grand Rapids: Three people were struck in three separate crashes in Grand Rapids Thursday morning, according to the Grand Rapids Police Department. The first crash happened around 6:40 a.m. at the intersection of Fulton Street and Garfield Avenue. Police said the pedestrian ran into the roadway before being struck by a vehicle. The pedestrian had non-life-threatening injuries.

Detroit, Michigan shooting at 9000 block of Hayes: 1 injured
Authorities say a trench collapse in western Michigan has left one worker dead and one rescued. Wyoming Fire Chief Chuck Lark said firefighters were called about 2 p.m. Monday to a residence where the collapse occurred. He tells The Grand Rapids Press that when they arrived, one man was waist-deep in dirt, rescued and transported to a hospital while the other was completely covered. First responders were working Monday afternoon to recover the body.
